Extra Fuel for long Trips

You can mount a Koplin 1 1/2 gal fuel tank on the left and right side on the frame. They are out of the way, not taking up bed space, keeps the center of gravity low, protected by the bed sides and still higher than the frame so they aren't hit by anything. With the bed down you have to get back a little to even see them. I've had them on for 1200 miles and only had to use them a couple times on rides over 120 -130 miles, but I'm glad I had them. If your worried about it just put one on the right side, but the one on the left side is like 8-9" away from the shielded exhaust pipe and doesn't get very warm. neither one has ever leaked and if they did it wouldn't drip on the exhaust pipe. I think it's safer secured on the frame than bouncing around in the bed. Any way it's just a suggestion, It's working great for me.
