For everyone's information. I took in my supercharged, K&N filtered, Big Gun Exhaust Pioneer to the dealer to have the ECU checked and remaped if necessary. It cost $39.00 at my Honda dealer, and they said it was right on and didn't have to make any adjustment's. That tells me that the factory ECU (controller) will handle alot of situations and that high altitude is not something that will require or help having it remaped. Save your money. I've put about 300 miles on my machine since the modifications and it's run perfectly. I had it checked just for peace of mind after all I've done to it .

I was at the dealer Friday and asked them about flashing the ecu and they told me there is no way to flash the ecu.

Could be utterly wrong, but I don't think the non-PowerHouse Dealers can do the higher end service capabilities. I spoke with BrookHaven a while back and they have more info available to them versus my local dealers. I call them for info versus stopping by my local dealer.

Well I saw the tool and watched them hook it up and read A/F ratio's, check timing,temp etc,etc. It would of cost more if they had to make adjustment's but it wasn't necessary. I don't know what flashing means, but my dealer is able to map the ECU if needed.

so what reads the air fuel ratio. the 700 doesn't have an o2 sensor. I am Sure they can see sensor inputs and outputs but you need an o2 sensor to read afr.

You don't need a 02 sensor on the Pioneer to read the a/f ratio. There's an exhaust probe in the tool that can read the A/F ratio's . In fact you can go buy a tool at the parts store that will read the A/F ratio, but you need an interface with the ECU to have the ability to change it which my Honda dealer has. I didn't ask but it may be a Honda dealer tool (meter).

you forgot to mention the exhaust probe. we found the pioneer runs on the rich side when we had it on the dyno. not too rich but serenely not lean.

That may explain why they didn't have to change anything even after my modifications.

Just an update... I've added a switch that turns on the electric supercharger blower motor every time the throttle goes to wide open throttle. It's a transmission kick down switch from a mid sixties GM car, I had laying around. It works great and I still have a manual switch I can turn on anytime I want, but this is very convenient especially in the snow. Thank's for looking.

Thanks Bobbyhill. I'm torn between this, and the full turbo install that another user on this forum has done. First I think I'm going to do the Uni-Filter, an exhaust, and the DP AFR+ Gen4. I'm still trying to figure out what a good option for exhaust is, I would like to keep it relatively quiet for hunting, but still have a bit more free flowing. I was looking at silencers that can be added, but still unsure which way to go.

If you want to keep quiet I'd say the swamp series is the way to go from what I've read. I have the Yosh exhaust and it gives power for sure but it's loud

Yea, I've been off line for months, just been riding and exploring the great outdoors. I've ridden my 700 in WA,OR,UT,ID,NM, and have not had any problems with any of my modifications to my supercharged 700. It's performing great and I'm happy with the power improvement even without a performance exhaust system. I do have a larger exhaust tip although. I'm excited to see the new 1000. I've got a lot of time invested in my 700 so don't know if I could part with it to upgrade to the 1000. I don't know if anyone else has tried to install a electric supercharger in there Pioneer or not. I'd like to hear your feed back. It's been a retaliative low cost project, at least compared to Turbocharging, etc. I'm very pleased with the results and reliability. Thank you for checking it out.
