P1000 Jackal's P1000-5

Well just as well get this started off. For those of you that followed along on my Pioneer 500 build, I pretty much bought all my accessories before I even had the machine in hand and within 3 weeks of having it home it was all tricked out like I wanted.

Thanks to @HondaProKevin from Honda of Chattanooga I will pick up a Red Pioneer 1000-5 Deluxe on 12/22 just before Christmas.

Stay tuned going to be a long and expensive 2 months.

Thanks for the shout out @JACKAL & @ohanacreek . Much appreciated guys... Can't wait to see the silver in person as that's the color I think I'm going with too. Even though all my other Honda bikes and cars are red, it'll match my silver S2000 so I won't complain haha. It's soooo sexy!

Just hoping and praying Honda holds up their end of the bargain on getting these other colors out with too much of a delay.

Believe it or not, I'm sitting on multiple red 1000-5 Deluxe models I can't give away lol.

Ordered the Trail Armor 1/2" UHMW Skid and A-Arm kit available for the Pioneer 1000-5

While perusing amazon ran across some nice winch accessories mainly a very slick WARN EPIC series snatch block with bearings and lube points. Having these things work smoothly when you are in a jam is a godsend, while at it added the shackle, hook and tree saver all matching for a 5K sized winch as well to my rescue bag. Digging the durable cerakote finish.


Didn't much care for the bright yellow 50' synthetic cable that came with my Superwinch terra 45 so snagged a 1/4" AMSTEEL Black 65' synthetic cable from moto alliance, ya never know that extra 15' may be the difference of not dragging out extra equipment. I will keep the yellow synthetic cable in the bag as a backup and for extra line if I get in a real bad way on a long treeless hill

My delimma new P1K, 450 miles from home / shop. Royal Blue 40 miles from daughter's house where I am staying this week. But trail armor skids in truck no winch no hoist but determined to install UHMW skids tonight before it gets muddy tomorrow

All set to go riding at Royal Blue in Pioneer TN with the family

Well have all the basics covered absent my KFI winch mount, come on KFI its been 4 weeks ago since I ordered it.

Currently have the glass windshield, hard mid panel with glass, and hard roof already set up by Honda of Chattanooga since I had 560 miles to cover today no time to play with boxes in the rain. Also as pictured above just installed the Trail Armor 1/2" UHMW skids & A-arm covers tonight.

Of note install was very slick if you follow the directions and there is drain holes for all the fluids including front an and rear differentials. Very happy with this setup.

Now for tomorrow taking family riding at Royal Blue will see how she handles 5 people on her maiden voyage. It took me 2 months to get 30 miles on my P500, the P1K5D will be ready for 1st service within 48 hours. Will post pictures from out on the trails tomorrow. 1:25 AM past this old man's bedtime.
