So I started making my own windshield I'm using 1/8 inch lexan I'm almost done but drinking has side tracked me but here are a cpl picks so far , I'm going to have a hinge so it folds down onto itself I taped it down w the hinge to drill out the holes.

I cut it with a grinder and a metal cutting wheel that's was really thin I think 1/16 maybe , I'm not done yet almost because I ended up getting a bunch of work I had to do and a family member passed away so I've been to busy to finish it

Probably was 1/8 I took my time cutting didn't force it through so it wouldn't heat up to much

Yes 1/8 inch thick lexan picked it up at local auto glass repair place to build this will cost about $100 so a lot cheaper than buying one

Also used 5/16 rubber hose to go around the bottom to help make a seal

Did you use an existing windshield to trace the dash curve? If not how did you do it?

O Ok so I figured out how far the lexan would go down the roll cage to the bottom and I used a straight edge from the bar over to the first hump then I measured from the straight edge down to wear the leaxan would stop on the bar let's say 7 inches down I then measured down on the edge of the start of the hump it was 6 inches so there is a 1 inch difference then measure that point over to the bar let's say its 8 inches then I measured the top of the hump to the bar its a 12 inches from the bar so now you now the angle form the bottom of the hump to the top its easier to do this if you put a straight edge all the way across both bars so I can't move , the whole time drawing a little scetch of the design after I got all the measurements I rechecked them son both sides and I also left myself about 1/8 inch extra on the measurements that way I can trim some off here and there and make sure it fits exact

If you can make a template out of like thin plywood or cardboard I didn't have anything to make one so I just did it but I've done a bunch of stuff like this so I am use to it .

Also I find that 1/8 inch lexan is a little flimsy and next time I think I'll try 1/4 depending on price
