So.....

Now I have a source for modified A-arms. I little forward and arch for better clearance. Now, it's up to me to decide.

Do I want to make this modification? Of course if I do... 31-32" tires will be necessary.

I'd like to hear the pro's and con's.

I always wished I had more power when I had 28" tires. There's were a couple times I did have the power to turn the tires. It was in low elevation but the conditions were pretty rough.

One time was in the mud where I needed all four tires to turn and it would turn them. The other time was when I had wife and two kids going up a rocky hill and it didn't have the power to pull us over some ledges. We did have two kids in car seats and coolers, ect.

I would think going over 28" would be worse unless you got 30x8 tires. That may help. Of coarse you could try to get someone to make a set of portal boxes or do a turbo like spifyD.

I also forgot to say that I had a KN filter, modded exhaust, and a Dobeck tuner. But I also had a full size battery, winch, front and rear bumpers, etc that all added a lot of weight.

The 28.5's that I have now don't seem like a problem. I'm not sure why I'm not seeing the same problem.

Not sure, I had a 2015 model so it had the O2 sensor. I know not all tires are the same and those EVOs measured 28.25"

Also, that didn't happen all the time. I only remember one thick mud hole that stopped it.

I can't speak for all P700's out there, I can only share my experiences. Maybe mine had some issues?

I raced HondaSXS last year and his P700 with 26" tires was quite a bit faster. However, I raced a friend with 27" EVOs and we were dead even. Go figure?

That's very true! We won't know until you try. The risk isn't that great is it?

LMAO. No peer pressure on this forum.

"WE won't know until YOU do it" That's a classic statement.

The risk? Broken axles, tie rods, etc.. It's only money right?

Alright you a$$'s. If he will work with me, I will do it. I'm going to make him an offer.

This is exciting. So what more can you tell us? Do the arms have built in lift? I'm sure they do but how much? Will you upgrade axles too?

I think he told me 2" forward and 2.5" lift.
BUT, I have Can-Am shocks so I already have 2.5 inches of lift. So, I asked him to maintain the current height of 15" all the way around. Larger tires will result in more. AND he will provide an extra set of shock mounting tabs.

With the arch you can move the mounting tab and raise the lift. So If I want more I can cut his off and weld on the extras.

I want to change the axles. But I'm thinking I should run it with the factory axles first.

See if he wants to make two sets. I'll take a set just like yours. No painting, I'll have that done. Thanks

The parts are ready. I am planning to ride Saturday. Sunday I will wash it up and deliver it to Paul. He won't give me a timeline but I expect somewhere between 1 and 3 weeks.

I'm shopping for larger tires. I want 32" but figure I better stop at 30"

I think 30's will be cool. Besides you'll already have so much clearance with the arms why rob power?

So clear this up for me, 2.5" lift from shocks, 2.5" from a-arms, all said and done you'll have 5" lift total (not counting what tires give you)? Or he's not going to build in lift on the arms?
