Well 700 riders...
Seems the LED lights from the 1000 just might work for you.
A quick comparison from the parts fish show they fit the same outer frame.
Now, We will need someone to give it a test to be sure... Of course you will need a switch and custom wiring but that should be no issue for most DYI'ers.

Please note this is not a direct fit. See below post for modifications.

Parts List. (11-2015, Honda updated pricing)
  • ($190-$250) - 33100-HL4-A11 - LIGHT ASSY,R LED
  • ($190-$250) - 33150-HL4-A11 - LIGHT ASSY,L LED

Might be something to keep an eye on. Just curious where you found the OEM Parts listing? I tried ronnies and rockymountain and couldn't find the new models. Thanks

The Pioneer 1000 LED headlights almost perfectly matchs the 700. The only issue is the size of the mount tabs. But there is a plastic bushing I failed to order. Should be here next week sometime to confirm.
This should also work for the P500 as it uses the same headlight as the 700!

The P 500 definitely needs brighter headlights. May have to give this a go.

NO. It want!
1000 is a 3 wire. 700 & 500 are a 2 wire!

But, it will be easy to rig up.
Ground wire
+ Hi wire
+ Low wire

Anybody modified HL on P500?

Not that I know of but with the wiring sub harness & Hi / Lo beam switch that plugs in all together should easily tap into OEM headlight harness. The way I envision it working is having the On Off headlight switch on the dash as it come to turn on the headlights then the Hi / Lo rocker to switch between the hi / lo LED beams of the new lights.

The part #s copied from OP in post one should do the trick plus a bushing he mentioned but don't know the part # for it yet. So about $240 tax n all should set us up with LED headlights, price seems actually not too bad vs. the aftermarket offerings of which none are for P500. The little Pioneer just can't get no love from many accessories makers.

Parts List.

  • 33100-HL4-A11 - LIGHT ASSY,R LED
  • 33150-HL4-A11 - LIGHT ASSY,L LED
  • $.33 - 33106-HL4-A10 - CAP, HEADLIGHT (x4)
  • $7 - 33130-HL4-A10- SUB HARNESS,HEAD
  • $40 - 35230-HL4-A01 - Hi/Lo Switch (not required if use your own switch)

Looks like the Bushing is:

CAP, HEADLIGHT
33106-HL4-A10
Looks like you need a 4 total to do the install, but they are only 33 cents a piece so not a deal breaker. I will be definately watching this thread and hope to give it a try, after someone does.

I'm not ready yet, working on power steering, winch, lights , full cab install, but will give a try after seeing actual light on p1000 this month.

I Like this mod! but I have found when driving my 700-4(stock head lights only) down the hard top at night, I am blinding full size vehicles. last week I was coming back from the fire house and a suburban had to stop in the middle of the road because he could not see to drive. just food for thought.
