Mine settled at 2.5" in front and 2.75" in back. So, yes, 3" within reason.

You are a lucky man to have such lovely ladies in your life. They look precious.

Question about the bushings. So I found a set of complete shocks on eBay, but the bushings all around are rough. Is there any reason I could not remove the factory bushings and sleeves from my take offs to fit in the donor commander shocks?

Honda bushings won't fit on canam shocks and also don't seem to want to come out either. You only need 4 bushings and a set comes with 8 so you might find half of them good. Keep in mind by design they are offset and stick out a little on one side.

It's time.... Does anyone have a line on Commander front shocks for my 700? I see there's a pair on ebay for $375 but not sure if thats high or going rate.

I don't have a lead but that's allot, I got a set, front and back, for $300 and that was pricey.

Just a pair? Or a complete set?

That's pretty steep for just a pair, unless they are brand stinkin new. You should be able to get all four for that price. Or get a complete set of fox shocks from @Springer for $800. I believe they're still available.

Hmmm... I think I better keep looking for Commanders. But dang, $800 for Foxes is very tempting. If you said six I'd be sending the dough instead of replying here LOL!

If it was me I'd PM him an offer. All he can do is say no right? Nice thing about fox is the adjustability but people seem to really like the commander setup.

I second this! I went on eBay a seller is selling them for $1024 shipped not bad for brand new. Good seller was willing to split the shipping cost to Alaska.

Edit eBay link: FOX 1.5 Podium C Shocks 885-06-076
