I don't have an actual bolt on lift yet but my shocks gave me nearly an additional inch of ride height. I do a lot of side hilling while running fence lines at what I would guess is a 30-35 degree angle? There are times when I think I'm getting close to going over but that was true with the bar on too. So I guess my advice is, don't let steep terrain scare you out of it BUT be very aware of what you're doing the first couple of rides until you learn what the limits are.

Thanks Tflynn!! I have never been accused of being scared, but stupid or crazy maybe a few times.

Here is a pic of mine with the 3" lift and sway bar removed. I removed it today and I will say so far I prefer it removed. There is a little difference when cornering fast but not enough to worry about.

Great read. Thanks for the input. I think it will help alot keeping traction in the snow in the hills. It's coming off tomorrow for a try.

We have a trail where the ruts are deep. Two places I always have to watch the trees. As I round the tree the wheels go into the ruts and lean the sxs into the tree. I disconnected the swaybar this weekend and went out to test those locations. It worked. Now the suspension can work and the sxs doesn't lean into the tree. Done. I might cut the swaybar out.

I was able to remove the wheels, twist and pull and with a little work was able to get mine out in once piece. I'll never go back to using one. Articulation is far better and ride is smoother. It doesn't oversteer anymore and holds lines better, that's where you need to be more careful because it will roll before sliding now.

Not with good suspension = no roll.

True, throw some better shocks on and you wouldn't have to worry. Stock leave a lot to be desired. I cranked my preloads all the way up to prevent roll. I'm still working on my commander rear shocks, almost done.

After testing the sway bar disconnected, I completely removed it. What a improvement in ride quality and far better traction . Both rear wheels stay on the ground now. Huge improvement climbing steep rough terrain.

I wonder why it was there ??? Only short test with it off at the moment however what a waste of space. If Honda would of taken the money for the sway bar and put it in the shocks ????

I did have some trouble removing it. Hint" make sure you can left the 700 up in order to thread it out after disconnect." jack or hoist.

Hey Joey, did you also remove the sway bar on your 1000? If so, did it help? Seems like yours has good articulation from the videos

I am leaving it on the P1000. I believe it would be too unstable, especially considering it can run over 60.
