From what i read the rear shocks on the rzr 800 are 18.5" long and if the stock front pioneer shocks are 19 3/8" Thats 1" shorter don't think that would help much.

Yea I'd like to know if they work and what kinda numbers you got. The guy gave me dims on the Fox Podium X he's selling and they measure 19 3/4 and 21 3/8, not sure if these would work.
What are the 19 3/4 inch shocks off of? that's the size i need for my fronts.

I believe the guy said off a Rzr 800 but he didn't specify the model, kinda sounds like he came across some shocks and are just trying to get rid of them.

Based on these measurements I bet the 19 3/4" ones would work on the front. The 21 3/8's ones are probably useless to you though. If I were you I'd jack up the pioneer off the ground and remove the lower shock bolts on one side. See how far it can droop while slowly spinning the wheel until you feel the cv joints binding. That should give you an idea of how much longer your shocks could be. And don't forget about the compressed length. You don't want to bottom out and simultaneously bind your cv's. am I making sense?
Oh yea thanks for the info too Tflynn, it kinda makes sense but sounds like one of those things that will be easier to understand by getting hands on and messing around with.

Here's the bracket I made. It bolts right in the upper shock mount. I'll be testing the ride quality sunday

The 19 3/4 would be perfect. Almost direct bolt in. The eyelets are a hair off but bolt right in. My mix up was I ended up with the 21 3/8" witch I can still get to work. I'm very capable of fabricating a bolt on bracket to the stock upper shock mount. I made one tonight and its goin to work out perfectly. But now I have the front superatv lift 2" lift to sell since the new shocks lifted it also
Sweet, hopefully the home made bracket works out. So sounds like the shocks you bought have the same dims as the ones I was looking at right? If yours work out I may just go the same route and save a grip of money :)

Just did a little test thru the ditches and dirt hill by my house and HOLY COW!!!!! I can go 3 times the speed as before with out bottoming out. Which i still didnt bottom out. Can't wait to get this baby on the trail sunday. I'm just shy of 13" ground clearance in the front. Without a lift on 28" Zillas

From my understanding the rzr 900 I got my shocks off of was a xp which the rear shock length was 21 3/8. There is also a rzr 900 s which has a rear shock length of 19 3/4 but dont have the piggyback setup. The 900 s will have rear shocks that should be a direct bolt in for the front of our pioneers.

Did some small jumping tonight. Tires about 2-3 feet off the ground. Awesome feel amazing how these shocks changed this machine. I can go thru everything with no worries of rough feelings. Definitely what this thing needs

Heres some pics of the jumping. Very smooth landing. If you would do it with stock shocks you would prolly break something in you lol

Went on the trails today and it was amazing. Nice smooth ride. No more bottoming out on small or medium whoops. Was able to ride faster without hurting our backs. Well worth the $300 I spent on the shocks. I am now goin to switch the rears over also

Since the shocks worked out so well I now have the front 2" lift from superatv for sale. About 10 miles on it . If anyone is interested?

The fabricated brackets are for the front shocks correct, because you ended up with the 21 3/8? I believe you mentioned you mounted front and rears and just curious if you had to make brackets for the rears too or which size shocks fit best where?

I put the rear shocks off a rzr (21 3/8) on the front of my pioneer. Had to make a bracket. There is also a rear shock off a different rzr model that is 19 3/4 that would be a direct bolt on. I have not changed out the rear shocks yet on my pioneer. But they measure about the same as the front (19 3/4)

You got pics of your setup for the 21 3/8 shocks on front? How much lift did they give you? What shocks you putting on rear since you used the long ones up front?

That's the only pic I have close up. It's basically an L bracket that I boxed in for strength. It lifted it 2 1/2" but with the adjustable coilover I can increase or decrease if need be. As for the rear I'm Goin to try and find a set of the shorter ones(they won't have the piggyback set up tho)
