Question for you guys/gals.

Tire says "max psi 7"
It's a 27" 6Ply.
Inflated to 7psi it's only a bit over 26".
Inflated to 10psi it's 27" tall.

Can I run 10 in it safely or am I running a risk of a sidewall blowout, puncture, misc other problem?

Ya, you should be fine. As we discussed.
Look at all the SxS's that run ATV Tires and all the ATV's that run huge pressures just for the extra clearance.
But really. Just play around with pressures and find the one that is right... one that is not too hard and not too soft.
Then do the spacer and you are set.

Yeah the 6 Ply Dirt Devils have a 660lb capacity on the 27x12-12 rear so I feel safe at 10. Just made me wonder with the 7psi MAX

You guys must live in another world from me. I and other's out here in Washington run like 6 lbs in front and 6 or 8 lbs in the rear. The tread lays flat and makes full contact with much better traction. It gives it a better ride also. The difference may be that we start out at say 2000 feet elevation and then ride most of the day between 5 and 8000 feet. As you go up in elevation the pressure rises in the tires. In the winter on snow we run 2 to 3 lbs for better traction. The guys with the pressures your talking about are always stuck. I guess it just shows the difference where you ride etc. Interesting.

No snow/sand here... max out with maybe a 1000' elevation change MAX on a ride. I'm running 8-10psi loaded 4 people or a 55gallon bed mounted sprayer, depending on weight and 4-6psi 2 up. I agree lower PSI means better traction but it also means sidewall damage with too much weight.

If I get stuck it's my pride and a winch. A lot cheaper than a new tire.

The Dirt Devils are AWESOME!... Great traction over slick rocks, gravel and gooey red Alabama mud.
