Thanks @Plumber32! That's the kind of stuff I was talking about and enjoy reading about. Not that I'd ever tear into my engine like that, but it sure is cool. This has to help someone. There has to be that guy who is tired of getting outran by his buddy and needs a few extra ponies that were left on the table. Also, thanks Honda for making this powerplant so universal. The way they use this engine in everything from a utility rig to a motorcycle really allows us to play around with mods such as this. If they didn't, this stuff wouldn't even be brought up. I like how Honda uses like parts across the board unlike other manufacturers to where if I had a electrical plug go out that I could replace with one off a cbr 1000. Try that on your polaris, can-am, or hell even yamaha.

Have you had any issues with the wrist pins or piston scuffing because of the lack of piston squirters the Pioneer has vs the Talon? Im also assuming you rev it higher with the Talon ECU and injectors vs a stock Pioneer.
i did not increase the rev limit but I do often hit the rev limiter since day one. about 7k miles on it now. scuffing.....not sure, i've never needed to dive deeper into the motor

In my past with Honda they have everything purty much on the table stock. Can you tune and help yes but it shows up elsewhere. Can you tear them apart and make bigger HP for sure. But for most they are fine. And if not you should buy something different.Short of racing thats different anything goes.Nobody likes second place
