P500 12V outlet

Is there a fuse for the 12v outlet? Plugged in my new sound tube and no light came on. Thought it was funny last year when I plugged in my air compressor and it didn’t work thought it was just the end on the compressor. Got called into work so didn’t get a chance to look at my book. Thanks for any info!

Yes. Grab a test light and check the panel.
No test light?, grab a freebie dvom from horrible freight. Switch to ohms/continuity and probe both sides of fuse for break/open

Quick and dirty option is pull the accessory fuse and see if it is blown.

Probably gonna do this tomorrow. All fuses are in the battery box correct? Never had to change one out yet. Just got home and able to look in my book and by the looks of it thats the only place.

Not a 500 owner, cannot confirm or deny, but it does sound correct.

Was the fuse. Was an easy enough job to do.. Hardest part about the whole thing was trying to find some spare fuses lol. I had the extra one in the fuse compartment but went out and bought some more just in case they are needed on the trail. Thanks everyone!

Just be weary of plugging your air pump in, they are usually higher draw, it might have blown the fuse initially.

I’ve plugged it in on a couple of po pos and it works. Maybe they have a higher amperage fuse on their accessory port? Maybe I should look at getting one for this specific one.

Could add alligator clips and hook directly to battery. That is the style I use. Not sure how easily accessible your battery is though. Or wire in a heavier duty cigarette lighter with a 15a fuse.

Battery is in a PITA spot(rear right wheel well). Not that easily accessible and it is a 15a fuse. So far I haven’t had to use it myself was just plugging it in for other people. 99% of the time I’m with people so I don’t worry so much if I need it. Think I will look into getting a new one. Amazon has been my friend. Lol

Went looking for 12volt compressor options and learned more stuff. I think my fuse may be blown too. It wasn't charging my iPhone either.
