P1000 2 week old P1000 hauls elk

For its maiden voyage, we took it elk hunting. This cow was shot on muzzle loader season opening evening at one of the few water holes with much water in our area here in AZ. Range was 145 yards. The Honda was way more capable at hauling the whole thing out than the two ATVs it replaced. The ride was very cushy, since I removed the stabilizer bar and had 9.5 lbs pressure in the tires. I also installed the Quadboss low profile roof, Zeak 3500 lb winch, Big Sky overhead gun rack, and
Bayouownbeer 's breather tube extensions. All of this in time for the hunt.

Thanks, it was a great trip...but way too short. Never harvested one on opening day. I plan to take my wife riding In late October to see the fall colors.

Thanks! It was with an older CVA Optima Pro with 108 grains of Blackhorn 209 and a 300 grain Nosler Partition bullet. We just finished making liver and onions...yum!

Oh, and we set up camp chairs and waited until near dark...a real steady shot!
