Save me some time please. Whats the difference on a 2016?
I found a local 2016 PK3 standard with 525 miles (92hours), soft cab enclosure, tilt windshield, cover and hitch.
Asking $14K.

Really depends if the 2016 has the underseat updates, muffler shield and clutch improvement campaign. Those were available for free til Aug of this year.

Beyond that the 2017 got a slightly beefier hitch and the shift mode memory. I wouldn't hesitate to buy an updated 2016 but I do enjoy driving my 2018 slightly more than my 2016.

I didn't just buy a new one for the half dozen upgrades. My 2016 died in an incident.

Wasn’t it the 2016‘s that were catching fire? Seen a few burned up, I’d make sure it’s had the updates.

Thanks todd.
What is the shift mode memory?

It remembers if you're in at/mt or sport when you shift from forward to reverse and back. As I recall with the 2016 if you put it in MT, shift to reverse and then back to high or low it will default back to AT.

Yep like said make sure updates have been done. At least the clutch update that’s the big one., others are cheap and easy. No real worries.

Emailed the lister of the 16.
Updates were not done.
Well there’s still a bunch driving around dead stock but imho I wouldn’t do it without clutch update unless you could talk him down enough to do it.

I would pass on a 16 without the update. I know a guy that bought one without the update done in August, fried the clutches in September and Honda wouldn't honor the campaign as the machine was 3 years old and there was plenty of time to have it fixed. Cost about $1600 for the repair at the dealer.

Agree.
Honda would not cover this at all.
