Finished installing the winch yesterday and went out for the first ride. Was not expecting to use the winch but came across a couple that had been high centered in a jeep for 1.5 hrs. Figured I would at least try to help them rather than let the lay in the snow digging it out. Needless to say the Pioneer had more grunt than I was expecting.

Except, I was a little unimpressed with the get up and go. I get that it is a utility machine and I'm not really one to drag race, but are these things a little anemic off the line? On past off road toys there is usually some up front work of pulling emissions crap off and getting the correct "off road" ECU maps. Have I miss that somewhere?

Look up Dynojet pv3 and Florida cracker tunes stage 2. But this thing only has 72hp stock so hopefully you weren’t expect 100hp performance.

Agree with getting a tune. The factory clutch engagement is not great. Neither is the lean amount of fuel they run for emissions. A tune will completely change your machine. There is a few options. Hess, Silber, COPS (who I have) And Florida Cracker Performance. Here's a little video for you. Good luck.

Thanks for the replies. Pretty sure I was in sport mode but can't remember. Wasn't expecting 100hp, just feels like it is missing a bit, but could also be altitude. I'll go looking into a tune down the road. Still working on figuring out where the corners are and how hard it can be pushed without breaking or tipping.
