I recently picked up a new to me 2016 700-2. It is currently sitting on 30x9x14 silverbacks on all 4 corner with 2” shock spacer lift. This is too much for my use and would like to go to a slightly more stock look. I want to take lift out and drop down to 27x9x14 up front and 27x11x14 rear. Been searching Rocky Mountain and when I search for wheel/tire combo it only gives me a 26x12 tire as an option unless it is a deluxe then it will give me the 14” rim option. My question is will the 27x14 still work on a non deluxe model. Unit is mostly work around the farm use, not trail or high speed riding. Want to eventually get plow for it also. Any info would be appreciated

I don't see why it wouldn't but you could try calling Rocky Mountain and talk to them. They might have some ideas/options that the computer won't show. Or, do a search on this site...tire wheel combos are the #1 topic around here.

Welcome to the club!!!!

Thanks for the info. I have seen lots of people saying 27” fit fine without the lift. Just was curious as to why the don’t list it as an option for the 700-2 and do for 700-4. Maybe since 27 is 2” larger than stock on700-2 but only 1” larger than stock on 700-4. I will try reaching out to Rocky Mountain

I run 28x11x14 and 28x9x14's on my 2014 700 with no lift. Never had a rub but I don't ride hardcore. 28's hurt the torque a little too much but not bad. But, fair warning....the #1 complaint for the 700 is it needs a lower gear. Hopefully your downsize will be good enough.

I run bighorn 2.0s 6ply. 28/9/14 and 28/12/14 for years. They never rubbed, Till I added the mudd busters fender flares. I would catch the bolts turning tight. So I added the super ATV 2” lift.
But if you are going back to stock then 27s are your best bet. And remember just because they say 28” doesn’t mean they are. Some run as much as 1” bigger when you measure them.

To be honest..... I run the stock tires and size 90% of the time around the farm. I only put the 27's on for trips.

Thanks for everyone’s opinion thus far. Sounds like nothing to worry about going with 27s and no lift. Been looking at the 8ply trilobites and most reviews I see is people saying that they actually run small compared to listed size. Gonna keep looking around at tires but sounds like going to 27 is a non issue

I run 27x9 and 27x11 on 12's with no problem.. The reason dealers don't list them as fitting is for liability issues and increased mechanical issues. If the machine didn't self distruct with 30" tires it will appreciate those smaller 27's .

They are tusk terrabites. 27x9x14 front and 27x11x14 rear

I've been known to be wrong (a lot!) but I don't think those are terrabites. Looks like maybe their trilobite. If so, the tread looks like it will do a bit better in mud and snow than my Terras do although I dont have issues with mine.

That’s why I asked.
Terra’s tread looks more like a light truck mud tire.

Isn’t the trilobite tread pattern similar to the pattern of the stock P1K tire tread?
Yes , everyone duplicates it . It has always been a great performer.
