I know it's been a long time but I decided To trickle charge that battery up In smack on some bigger tires and a have a little fun outdoors I just ordered 28x9-12 on all 4 wheels with new ITP black steel WHEELS I got the same wheels for all for front and back The brand of tires I got are swamp Fox plus. Specs of the wheels and tires are in the images I attached to this post, Am I looking for some trouble? If it matters I'm a light duty rider that just needs more clearance from the ground.

You're good. I'm running 28x10's on 5+2's. You might consider 1" spacers for the rear just to give you an even track width but it's not necessary. The only issue you might have is rubbing at full compression and turn if they're true 28's. Forward arched A arms eliminates that concern. I'm at 55".

I’m running 27x9-12 on 5+2 wheels all the way around with 2” rear 1” front spacers with no problems. I added mud busters to keep the mud out of the cab. I don’t see any problem with your set up except maybe some tire rub in the front at full lock.

OR an extra half inch in the front for even track. 😜 what do ya think?

Well took it out for a ride yesterday absolutely amazing what a difference Like a totally new machine Yeah I already had the Walker Evans on their with the one and a 1/2 inch wheel spacers Ride quality was great Now the front measured 56 and a 1/2 inches wide and the rear 55" Wide I like to try to keep it 55 or less so I'm getting 1" spacers for the front just to shave off an 1"

I buddy of mine gave me his 28" Talon wheels/tires when he upgraded. I got 3/4" wheel adapters 110 to 137. No issues with wheel rubbing while riding. It looks bad a$$. The gear ratio is now spread out, so you have to work the gears to keep the engine from lugging, especially with two adults riding.

v303x, I'm also looking into something similar. Are these Talon wheels 28x9-14 and 28x11-14? I'm looking at some stock P1000 Wheels and Tires that are 27x9-14 & 27x11-14 and I'll add 4/110 to 4/137 1 inch adaptors/spacers. Have you had any issues with your setup?

Stock P1000 wheel offsets are...
Front 14x6.5 with a 4.5+2 offset
Back 14x8 with a 5.5+2.5 offset

Wonder if the Talon offsets are the same or similar??

You should be ok, the spacers will make the P500 a little wider. The 27" tires will not make the gearing as tall as the 28" tires. I have to work the gears a little more with the taller tires. It will rub on the frame very faintly, considering I got the tires/wheels for free it is very worth it.

I don't know if the offset are the same on the Talon and P1000.

Good luck,

David

Well going down to 26" , 28" too big that 2" made Is a big difference especially with the heavy mud trend Hard to get up Is the hills difficult to steerAnd you lose that 50" wide versatility when you're going in between trees in the forest I'm gonna go back to 26"
