Has anyone thought of 4 point harnesses on the seats? I rode in my friends RZR (POS) and we flipped over. 4 point was nice kept me right in place with no pain, and easy to release. Anyone have any leads or even how you would mount them without a bar across the back/middle.

I won't have my P1000 until next week but I intend to use the bolt that holds the headrest as the upper shoulder strap mount and the lowers will bolt in place of the OEM seatbelt. I would recommend the Beard 4 point restraints with the automotive latch very well padded and just as easy as a seatbelt for quick in and out. There is links to them in my P500 build below in my signature.

I totally agree with you on the use of them, not only for safety but even more comfortable during the rough trails as they keep you put.

Did you ever get to start playing around with this?

I have them in my P500 but haven't done anything yet with my P1K. I will get around to it before long as it will bolt right in place of the seatbelts at the bottom and behind head rest up top maybe 15 minutes to do each side.

It just sucks that the bar behind your shoulder goes down at such a hard angle. I would think it would be hard to keep a three point comfortable with it being so low. I have been known to be wrong from time to time though......

Could also buy weld-able tube clamps and put a straight bar across behind the rear of the front seat. Attach the belts to this.

You are thinking wrong you mount both of the top ends of the 4 point restraints through the bolt of the black plastic headrest, the tubing has nothing to do with it. See the below picture to mount three 4 point restraints in the front seat.

Will likely have to get 10mm longer bolts, but if you get the 4 point restraints made by BEARD with the automotive latch for a RZR800 they have mounting tabs on each of the 4 corners and you can put the top 2 together like this in the center with a piece of strap metal and the headrest bolt on each side as pictured above as I did on my P500.

Above is before I went full retard and mounted suspension seats in my P500 didn't change the restraint mounting at all.
