I'm fairly new to the forum, but I have been lurking for awhile. I bought my 2016 P500 a few weeks ago. It is my first ATV and so far it has been a real work saver around my little farm. Anyway, I haven't needed the 4wd yet, but thought I would check it out last night. I stopped and moved the selector to 4WD and looked for an indicator on the dash. It did not indicate it was in 4WD. I drove a little and moved the steering wheel back and forth to try to get the 4WD to engage, but nothing. Has anyone else had this problem? Any suggestions? Thanks,
Mac

I have had no problems with mine but it is possible that your 4×4 selector cable needs to be adjusted ?

Don't know about the P500 but on the P1000, it does take a few feet (or revolutions of the tires,) for the 4WD to kick in.

Out of habit I always stop, put it in 4wd, Drive a few feet and let off the gas and roll to a stop. It takes a split second. I acquired that habit in my older trucks. You had to kinda work to get it in on them. I have put my p500 in 4wd in thick mud stuck and it didn't want to go in. Had to work with it.
