Hello, after all this time about to pull the trigger finally order new wheels to replace my stock 700-4 factory steel wheels. I believe my 700-4’s wheels have a 5+2 offset . From a warranty / service / overall impact on the suspension... does it make a huge difference if the wheels I purchase have a 4+3 offset. I assume the extra inch would potentially make it a little more stable but also would throw more mud on the outside of the machine. If you have an opinion please let me know. What do most people purchase??

5+2 is typically what I see most and is what I put on my 700-4. The first pic is with 1.5” wheels spacers and the 2nd pic is without wheel spacers.

I run 5+2 also with no spacers . I am very pleased with the combination.View attachment 183731I don't seem to have an issue with mud , but I may just be more tolerant of it but it has never covered me in it and it's been in some nasty conditions.
Turn the wheel in 4 wheel drive. . That front wheel will wet everything in the cab.
You loose 2 inches of width like you said but also gain 2 inches of tire coverage. Really depends on your riding style and where your going. If mostly on farm and hunting. Light trail riding. Id say go for the 4+3.

Oh yeah you can get it to cover you if you want but mines not a work machine I have a Kubota with a dump bed for that . But if you dont hammer it in they fight places it is bearable.

Post pics of what you buy. I like seeing what everyone does. I will usually know who someone is by their machine .

Plan to do something soon. Been looking at MSA 14” wheels. They seem to be only available in 4+3 and are also a little more money than ITP or Tusk. Are higher priced wheels worth the extra $$?

I appreciate your opinion Alan thank you. Relatively new to the SXS mod world. Don’t want to buy things that don’t make sense. There are so many options.

On the oem wheels, there are different offsets front and rear, everything im seeing on the aftermarket wheels they offer the 5+2 offset front and rear. Is this correct?

Oh make sure the rim is for a pioneer. Some of the atvs call for 4+3 and have a 10m lug hole and wont fit the pioneer

I had this same battle going on, I actually like my 60" width due to trail limitations. From What I researched the stock Honda wheels are something like 5.5 and 1.5.
So I ordered 5 and 2 figuring they's be close. I ordered the tires that are 1" wider than the stockers, my pioneer is now 3" wider than stock by a tape measure. Also my front calipers are exposed.

Just some FYI

QuadMan - So those are 5+2 offset on all four wheels then you increased the width of the tires to 10” front and 12” back? is that what you have here? Are the wheels 12” or 14”?

I should have put 10s on front of mine instead of 9s then I could rotate them there's plenty of room for them.
