7,021 miles, 369.4 hours. Average speed is 19 mph. Just oil changes and new tires. I replaced the air filter at 6,200 miles because I had it apart but it was it still ok until about 15,000 miles. I don’t follow in the dust. The dust riders would probably need a new air filter every 5,000 miles.

For what these SxS’s cost we should have the reliability of a car. I always had problems on all the belt drive SxS’s. That was 4 Yamaha’s, 2 Kawasaki’s, and 3 Polaris. Polaris was by far the worse with many major failures. Had to be towed out twice with the Rhino’s, once with the Teryx, and 3 times with the RZR’s. Combined mileage was just over 63,000 miles. Belt drive works great but when do you change the belt. Some need replacement at 5,000 some will go 8,000. The weights and rollers wear out too. My RZR 900 cost over $1,500 for a new belt drive at near 9,000 miles.

That's awesome! Thanks for the report. Average 19 mph, you must be a flatlander.
Yeah what he said. At 2300 I averaged 9.5 lol

Wow Bob, you must ride A LOT to get that kind of mileage! I could own my Pioneer 10 years and never make it that high. Thanks for the report.

We have a lot of fast sand wash and forest roads and trails. It would be a lot more miles but I bought a 2016 Yamaha YXZ for the fast rides and have 11,533 miles on it. Got about 1,100 on my 5 seater and still drive my Pioneer 700 and 500. You just can't have too many Hondas. I have dibs on the first Honda Talon my dealer gets and buy a new one every year. BTW the Yamaha had some factory assembly problems but only had to replace the water pump seal at around 6,000 miles. The Yamaha needed a lot of improvements during my setup for high mileage use. My Honda needed a roof.

Approaching 800 miles on one year of driving. Trouble free and great memories so far. It's good to see these machines holding up. BTW I ride with mostly rzr's and can ams and the pioneer has had no issues keeping up through the woods and steep hills. It's been a great machine so far.

Whew! $1,500.00 for a new belt drive? My Ranger 570 drive clutch rollers wore out at 6,000 miles. I replaced it with a socket and ratchet in 15 minutes. Cost $420.00. Then my driven clutch pucks wore out at 7,500 miles and ended up ruining the whole assembly. Replaced it with a socket and ratchet in 10 minutes. Cost $390.00. If I'd replaced just the pucks before they grenaded themselves it would've only cost a couple bucks and a few minutes. I'm still using the original belt. I know these shops gotta put food on the table but DAYUM!!! $570.00 for maybe an hour of labor? Or if I'd known at the time, I could've gone with a $1200.00 Duraclutch and be done with clutch and belt concerns forever!!! Oh well...live and learn.

That is incredible BOB! I've never put that many miles on anything but I hope to on my Pioneer.

My Buddy had 3 Teryx and I had a 2008 and 2012 4 seater. Together we put on 39,000 miles. New belt every 4,000 to 5,000 miles and a real PITA to change plus doing the shimming for proper belt deflection.

How many miles do you have on it now? I have been looking at a 2016 1000-5, but it has 6,500 miles. Is that too many? Should I look at newer/less miles?

Nah my 16 has over 7300 miles and still runs like new. As long as maintenance is kept up mileage wouldn't bother me one bit
