I'm not really sure where you would use that. It's not road legal and it doesn't say if it will be allowed on ATV trails as a ATV or UTV

It's allowed on any road or trails that sxs and ATV's are allowed without width restrictions.

That's only if the vin is recognized as a UTV which was not defined in the article.

Wisconsin for example calls a UTV; a vehicle under 2000lbs, with a specific off road vehicle vin and an engine under 1000cc. This would not be registerable as anything in WI and would not be allowed on any off road public trails

Not a fan of Jeeps always been a LandCruiser type but for the price point that’s pretty cool. Mahindra makes some very large equipment it might not be too bad.

My question is what does it have over any other SXS? Solid axles mean it won't ride as well or deal with terrain at speed like what we are using. Rockcrawler guys may like it, but that trend seems to be going for bigger and bigger...

It's really a CJ/Samurai alternative except it's NOT street legal. I guess I just don't see the point myself.

The point is easy.
They already make these in India.
So they ship over a box of parts and sell a few more.
Low investment, looks more solid than the 'chuck wagon' you see at TSC and they are closer to getting a foot in the door selling cars in the 2nd largest car market in the world.

It's manufactured and sold as a UTV, so you can get a sticker in my state for instance and ride it on many county roads when you get away from the major counties. So then that same registration sticker lets me ride at the state rec areas and I could then take it to Brimstone or some of the "No Jeep" trail systems. It has 144 ft-lbs of torque and serious axles, it might lack in suspension travel when stock, but who keeps anything stock? I wonder what happens when you turn up that boost?

What year for the FJ40 was your Mudder? Those old models were bullet proof.
