Definitely won't be the quickest build, but she's slowly getting there! I'll be adding what mods I've done and giving props to the guys I stole the ideas from :).

First thing I added was a Harbor Freight Badlands 5000 winch. I've got a 3500 Badlands on my Rubicon that has been bulletproof so I decided to try my luck with the budget HF 5k. I grabbed the KFI winch mount because it was what the dealership had available. I wasn't to keen on the angle it puts on the winch line coming up and out of the fairlead since it sits so low, but I haven't had any issues yet. I did grind some of the bumper off on the bottom of the hole to make sure the line cleared without touching the edge.

After my first trip to the local ATV park, I realized I needed to snorkel it and extend all the vent lines. Not to turn it into a submarine, but for insurance purposes if I drop off into a hole. I saw the snorkels through the hood on @JTW @joeymt33 and a few others at Takeover and decided that was how I wanted to run mine since I didn't want to lose a cupholder and it would be really easy to go back to stock if I needed to (new hood is about $40).

Here's everything I ordered:

I run the filter if I know I won't be running through any extensive water/mud (and it looks cool!). I toss the snorkel head on if there's a chance of rain or I'm headed to a new trail/ride I haven't done before. I cut the pipe from 24" to 16"

I ordered a 6 switch plate with a hole for a marine gauge style radio from @mystic1219 . I installed a Boss MGR350B and some Boss wake tower speakers. I'm not an audiophile by any means so this seemed to be the cheapest way to install a reliable audio system on the cheap.

It's really humid down here in south Louisiana and I've seen the screen get some condensation behind it on a few occasions now. Hasn't seemed to hurt anything and it usually goes away once I'm moving. It only happens when sitting there with the engine idling and listening to music.

Next up was the rear in-door storage mod. Honda should definitely have utilized this space from the factory. There's a ton of space in these doors! I unscrewed the rear panel and used my Dremel to cut out a hole.

I initially kept all of my recovery gear in the door, but soon realized that if you tip over onto that side you no longer have access to anything in the door. I toss a tow strap in the bed now before I head out just in case.

IMG 20190517 131458

I drilled some more holes in the bottom of the door to aid in getting rid of water/mud after I tipped it over in the mudhole and it damn near filled it to the top with soupy mud. I also learned that I should put my stuff in dry bags.

I used these push-to-release hood pins to secure the panel. The threaded rod screws into the existing inserts in the door. You have to either cut the rods to length or drill out the plastic on the back of the insert in order to screw the rods in far enough.

I added a second battery with a TRU isolator after I got the audio installed. My winch, radio, and LED whip lights are all run to the secondary battery. This way if it gets left on I'll still be able to start the bike with the main battery. @Hondasxs sells the TRU isolator in the site store and I bought a Mighty Max 26ah battery off eBay for $45 that fits perfectly. I've been running this setup since I got home from Takeover and it has worked great.

I put some reptile eye perforated vinyl skins from @thevinylcreator (Kent Hill) on the other day and they look pretty cool. They definitely cut down on your light output so I'll probably pull them off for a night ride on tight/new trails, but they are fine for cruising the hood and around the farm. If you have a lightbar/pods you would probably be fine with them on. Maybe this can be my excuse to add the lightbar...

The Short Bus needed some beefier tires for our upcoming trip to the mountains. The stock 4 ply Big Horn 2.0's survived their first adventure to Royal Blue, but I didn't want to risk it since I'm bringing the wife this time. I went with 5+2 offset Tusk Teton beadlocks in smoke with ITP Blackwater Evo's in 28x10x14 all the way around. Total cost from Rocky Mountain ATV was right at $1050 delivered.

I need to add a 1" spacer to the rear to square it up.

Tires look great. Do you happen to know what they weigh?

Added a Ram Mount for the Galaxy Tab S4 I picked up to use as a GPS and media hub. I really like it so far! I have a playlist that I add to and just download it before we go out to ride.

I have the S4 in this case:

I had a piece of aluminum stock that just happened to fit perfectly into the intake hole. I just drilled a little hole in the center and stuck a drill bit in it then pushed down on the hood so the bit would mark the center. I used a 3.125" hole saw. Here are a few measurements if it helps any:
