I have a Pioneer 700 Deluxe and was wanting to know about what would be a safe air pressure so as to soften the ride. We go to Hatfield & McCoys once a year and some of the trails are pretty rough. I already put the rear shocks on the lowest setting.

Of course it’s such a variable. Very dependent upon what tires you’re running, amongst other things. I was just riding with a guy whose got such aggressive tires with such stout sidewalks that he had to put them at 4 PSI, mud riding. Same ride, my Tensor Regulators (DOT) we’re breaking bead and going flat repeatedly, only airing them up to 20 PSI kept them inflated. Back on rock and hard pack I’m down to 8-10 PSI again.

IMO, go out there and ride with a 12 V compressor on you and try different pressures until you get your optimum ride.

As Monte said, it's highly variable. Stockers...Stock like I ended up around 8 psi or, but I favor ride over handling, and have never had an issue with beads breaking.Roctanes and even ripsaws we're almost like run flats and could go lower. Original BigHorns required a bit more.

Basically I just run them with a little squat.
