Does anyone have the hard rear panel? I am curious how difficult it is to install/remove. I was thinking about the hard front doors but they look like a pain to take on and off each winter/spring. Thoughts? Thanks, Dale

daberry, yes, I have the rear hard panel.
It's not easy to remove or install, not like the roof is. Actually, the rear panel comes in two pieces, an upper and a lower. I'd say install time, with the learning curve is about 30 minutes plus. I guess it depends how fast you want to remove it or install it. As for me, It's staying on unless I just want to use mine a lot this summer and need some air.

I just got the rear panel but not sure on the lower panel. What all do you have to remove to install it. Looks like to me you have to pull the rear lower floor on the P4.

I'am curious as well as to how it fits to the lower panel and how well does it seal.Once installed is it pretty air tight or will there be a fair amount of say[heat loss] while the heater is running. Thanks

Slowdryrider. I just installed my hard rear panel tonight. It took a little time but not bad. If you already have the hard roof on you will need to remove it first, remove the seat bottom and the seat back-5 10mm bolts. I removed the seat belt assy on both sides. it makes it easier to put the back lower panel in. fits very nice. The upper panel has 4 clamps that go around the roll bars. I bolted the top centers first than the sides. than I put the roof back on just to make sure the upper panel was going to fit. Than I tightened the side clamps. Nice seal around the top. Drilled the 6 holes for the plastic clips that hold the lower and upper panel together, again make sure they align up good , put the seat back on the lower seat and you are done. took me about 1 1/2 hour total, but had to have the wife come out and hold the back seat in place to get the bolts back in. That's why it took so long. as I tried and tried to get the bolts in and just could not do it by myself. I like the way it looks and seals. Can't wait to get the full doors for the winter. Hope this helps you out.

Any chance you have a pic of the lower panel and how it fits and sits and mounts.
Thanks. From what I understand is that the lower panel fits on the inside of the roll bar and the upper on the outside[is this correct] One other question is that is there a access in the lower panel that is removeable to beable to adjust the Valves, seeing that there is a factory removeable piece.Or does a person have to remove the lower panel to get access to adjust the Valves.

There is nor sub panel within the lower panel. I'd say to remove the lower panel if need be to access behind or below it.

I'll try and get you some pictures tomorrow evening. The lower panel going right behind the seat back and goes all the way to the lower panels so it seals that area behind the seat. the upper panel goes behind the roll bar and ready seals up against the hard roof panel very nice. There is a nice cut out for the bed tilt handle.

Thanks for the pics.I kinda had figured that the lower panel needed to be on the inside due to all the box/bed catches etc;

Does the rear panel seal completely with the full roof on the 4 seater around the top?

Would this, with the addition of half doors and windshield make for a pretty much airtight cab? Enough to stay warm with a heater?

Can the upper panel be removed easily for use in the summer?

Does it hinder the rear passengers any?

Sorry for so many questions!
Thanks

Does the rear panel seal completely with the full roof on the 4 seater around the top? Yes, it seals very well at the top.

Would this, with the addition of half doors and windshield make for a pretty much airtight cab? Enough to stay warm with a heater? I have the glass windshield, though I only have the stock doors. The seal for the windshield is very good also.

Can the upper panel be removed easily for use in the summer? Yes, nothing is permanent, given some time, everything can be removed.

Does it hinder the rear passengers any? It shouldn't, the dump bed still has room to dump, though you'll have to have the window open to converse with the passengers.
