Is anyone else having this issue?
The welds on the front bumper do not go all the way around causing it to rust from the inside out. My dealer is trying to work with Honda but their solution is to have the bumper painted. Which is a bandaids and not a fix since water is getting in causing the rust.

On a tight inside angle, it is tough to weld inside of it. Having it open may also be by design for the tube to drain if it does fill with water. Also, when powder coating, those inside angles create a faraday cage and the powder will not go in there very good. Might be best to hit it with some spray paint.

Yep we all have that issue.... but it's not just Honda's. Especially after you give the pig a bath, you should either blow tubes out with air or leaf blower or take it for a good ride....I scrubbed mine the other day and put it away for a week... came out Friday and raised the bed to check snorkel out and yesterday I noticed the orange stain all over the rear passengers entrance step...and the welds are less then perfect. But as stated above toich up the paint as you go...

My biggest problem is that I have a burn through on mine where yellow/blue meet (see pic) and the whole tube (yellow) is filling up with nowhere to go.

It will be in all the joints eventually. Pull one of the rearmost center skidplate bolts out occasionally and watch the water run out!

I lost most of my frame caps pretty quickly, and this is the reason I never replaced them. Better to let stuff back out as easily as possible.

Mines a 16 model and the freaking bumper fell apart when I took it off to install my winch. It broke where the tubes meets the flat steel . The weld didnt penetrate from the factory. The weld let loose from the flat stamped stamped steel portion.

It looks like they didn’t weld fully on purpose. For what reason, I don’t know? As far as rust goes, I’ll clean up and rust oleum as necessary! 2EC51940 F728 4CD9 8261 29A4E90A215C

I put a EMP bumper on mine pretty soon after I got it. But I was noticing the same thing. I kept trying to get paint inside and around the welds and holes to stop the rust

My dealer is awesome! They pulled the end caps and submerged the bumper in POR so it would coat the insides. Then after it dried had it blasted and powdered coated. Honda sent the a can of paint to spray it with but the shop Forman said that it’s only a temporary fix. He said they have done a few with the POR and no one has come back.
