Love that sound! But you are correct.. to get the "real" effect, you've gotta BE there. The sound is only one small part of the experience. You FEEL it when a Nitro car makes a pass.

In the 80's my little brother and I were regulars in Spokane, Wa. We hit all the Dragbike! events. He's a skinny little s***, with a knack for launching a motorcycle. Back then, the big event was what they called the "World Finals". It was a Dragbike! event along with everything from pro-stock to nitro. We were there in the stands in 1987 when Big Daddy blew over mid-track, and essentially ended his career. I'm told that car hangs on a wall in the Garlits museum..
