Guys what month do you think the dealers offer the best pricing on the leftover 2017's?

My dealer usually drops prices for 2017 Utvs in December 2017 till he runs out. Now is a great time to buy leftovers.

The longer they have them on the lot, the cheaper they will get.
The longer you wait, the less likely they are to have one on the lot.

Catch 22? My guess is, if you can find one, they will cut you a bargain.

Now is a great time to bargain/deal on a P500 and like mentioned, the longer you wait options become more limited, i.e., color, etc., so I would pull that check book out and go shopping, LOL. Here is one link to explore

Ok guys here is the update. I just left the local Honda dealership. Times have changed in the 12 years since I bought my last quad. They have one 2017 Pioneer 500 left. I didn't want to commit to buy today so I was only able to get a rough out the door price. The otd price was $9526 here in Ohio. I can get a 2018 for that price down in Wv. I prefer to buy local but this may not be an option. So would $8500 be a fair offer for a 2017? I also noticed rust on the factory welds. I can get a used 2016 with aftermarket tires and winch with around 500 miles for $7500. So what do you guys think?

Is that price $9526 come with any accessories ? I would try to get them to throw something in on the deal. If you can get a roof or winshield out of the deal , I would say that is a pretty fair OTD price !

Well I didn't feel good about that price after I read the otd price thread. So I called around and got an otd price quote of $8372.

Not doubting what you are saying , but don't be surprised if that ends up not being the true OTD price........these dealers are sneaky !

Where in Ohio are you ?........wich dealer ?

Be careful you are not letting them compare "tax exempt/farmer" vs "personal", because 6-8% on that kind of number adds up fast. Also, some neglect to let you know there is set up fees, documentation fees, etc., and explains other differences as well between dealers. Here is a link where you can see a spread in price. I think the new ones right now come with a cargo trey "free". I looked for a long time and ended up getting a 2015 for 5K and very happy with the purchase. Given the reputation of these units, I would not hesitate to buy used, assuming it appears okay cosmetically/mechanically plus I want to meet the owner.

I'm about to buy a 2017 and have been shopping around. Local dealer wants $8600 + tax but if I drive to Phoenix I can get one for about $8250 + tax. Just spoke to a dealer in Missouri who has them for $8087 + tax but he's 16 hours away so not worth that drive.

I don't know that it would be worth it to me, unless I had other business, to drive, what is it, 10+ hours one way to save $350 + or - with tax. I think I'd take the local deal.

Dealers get calls everyday from people who are just dreaming or comparing brands. Tell them you're buying a specific machine in the next week and want their best cash OTD price. They won't play games if they know you're not just wasting their time. Tell them who has their price beaten too, gives them a red ass when they know who's taking their business. I might drive a little further for the same deal if I get a better vibe from the dealer.
FWIW, I always seem to buy big ticket items in the winter, sales are usually slow and they're hungry. New leftovers are just a burden on their lot and make their monthly spread sheets look bad. Be willing to walk away, I've gotten deal messages on the way home. ;)

Yes, show an attitude of ready to buy, write an actual offer a little less on a quote sheet for commitment and show you are ready to walk or go sit in car to think about it, see if they come out. Make sure they have your phone number and drive away to get a burger (LOL). A windshield or roof is a good throw-in to mention, or at least a first service. Got my roof that way, OTD of $9k first month that 2017s came available.

I'm in Canton, OH. I was able to get my 2017 in either November or December of 2017 right around $8,000 OTD (I'd have to look at the paperwork for the exact number, but it was +/- $100) paying Stark County Tax rate (if you buy anywhere in state you will pay your local tax rate). Dealer had 1 left after I bought mine.

I can't say I've been to the CVS, but I know where you are talking about. Hopefully you enjoyed the "hall of fame city" while you were here. I won't make any claims about it as I'm on a 10 year plan to move out of state myself. lol
