Okay, I think I have figured out a fix to the throttle. I won't know for sure until I go on a trip, and I have one coming up Thursday - Saturday in WV/VA. Once I run it that whole weekend I'll post a follow up report.

You can see the pictures but here is what I did. One you need to buy a spring. I think, and I stress "I think" the one I have is off a Honda Rincon and it is part # 46520-HN8-000. Years ago when I had a 2007 Rincon I bought a tear down bolt package on on eBay from a Rincon and I know that spring was with it. But I am not guaranteeing that is the spring. But it looks right from the pictures. The spring is about 4" long.
The other two things you will need is a washer, and a longer metric bolt that holds the foot pedal assembly.
On the washer, Mine was either a 5/16 or 3/8, but you can use what works, you will want to drill a small hole in it. I used a 7/64 bit. Put it closer to the outside of the washer, but not so far out that it will cause it to be weak. You can see the pictures, but you will want to feed the longer side of the spring hook through the washer and make sure it's at the bottom side of the bolt. Put in the new bolt and secure it tightly. Then press the pedal down and put the spring up high. Let the pedal in and then you can use needle nose pliers to pull the spring hook over the top part of the pedal.
The last picture shows the top bolt that is through the fire wall behind the front drivers side.

Once again, no guarantee this will work over the long run. But I did use this spring on my last trip and hooked it to the pedal and through a gap in the fire wall to see if it worked. It worked great for about 2-3 hours, and then it slipped through the firewall. I was pretty sure that was going to happen, but the couple of hours I got out of it was great, and it proved the concept.

I'll put a follow up report on here on Sunday the 11th or on Monday the 12th.

Good option. I didn't know that existed. I do have a Throttle Max on mine, but the spring is a lot better than the Throttle Max.

I just use a short piece of aluminum angle from any Big Box store with a couple of #8 self tapping screws. Cost very little. i can't see adding spring tension and making pedal more difficult to push for long periods of time.

Could you post a picture if you haven't done so already? I think the more options we have the better.

Over the weekend we rode about 250 miles on a bunch of outlaw trails in WV some of Spearhead, and all of the Warrior trail in WV. That was a big weekend for us, we usually don't stack on that many miles. The trail from the house we stayed at in VA to Warrior was about 25 miles, and much of it is gravel road/trail, so it was easy to start out with a lot of miles. One portion of that hike is down in a creek valley, and it was muddy and somewhat difficult. Two of us had to winch out when we took what we thought was the correct path. Only to find out there was a route around the mud holes once we looked further. Going up one of the nasty mud climbs I had a front tire come off the rim. But we carry air compressors/straps and we got the tire back on and moved on.

Anyway, we rode all the black and blue trails on Warrior as well as almost all the greens. The spring worked great. But keep in mind it may not be what everyone wants. It's perfect for my kind of riding up and down bumpy steep hills where when bumping the gas pedal can be a problem. That is the fix I was looking for. But it may not be what other riders want who ride other kinds of trails/dunes etc. The great thing about the trip is I saw more Talons than I had ever seen. Don't get me wrong the RZR still dominates in terms of numbers. But the Talon's seem to be as neuromas as Can-Am's now.

Was it just one driver or 2 drivers? I am thinking about something but it has to be comfortable for 2 different types
