box Install

Hope you can give me some insight. I purchased a box a while back. When I went to install it, it looked like the winch controls were mounted where it would come thru the dash, it was a dealer installed winch. I did not want to tackle it at the time, and I’m going off memory. My question is, is it difficult to move the winch controls to a new location, will I have to splice to make the wires longer. I know these are loaded questions but the 500 is not near me, and I just want to have a plan when I get to it in a month for hunting. Thanks

Just ziptied the controller to the front of the cross member to clear the box. No issues.

Sounds easy enough, did you have the same issue ?

DIY winch install before the box came out. Easy move. Really like the box.

I moved mine with no issue , my cables are plenty long enough.

I used the two existing holes on the vertical support to mount it in the new position!

Just got my choog box installed. Took about an hour. Had to move the winch wiring block.

Nice. What I got out of that pic is the diamond plate mat wrapped around the cluster of wires. I have that same thing going on under my hood and it looks terrible. I have some of that mat on hand and will have to use that idea. Thanks Fuimus!
