I'm thinking of removing my break pedal to cut and re-weld it so I will have more foot room.
I have long legs and big feet and the brake pedal is just to close for me.
I did some checking and the pedal only travels around 2" when fully compressed so there is more than enough room to make the change.
I'm thinking of just cutting and welding the pedal so it comes straight down, eliminate the forward bend,
Any ideals or comments.

I think that's a great idea if you use your left foot for braking but not so great if you use your right foot for both gas and brake!!!

I do use my right foot for both (brake/gas) but for myself, it is just to close to be easy to use like the gas pedal.

I can't really tell from the photo, but if there are two bolts attaching the pedal you could possibly...
loosen both bolts
pull the top one
pivot the pedal forward
fab an extension plate to cover the gap between the old location of the top bolt and the new location of the top of the pedal
Insert the old bolt in one end and a new bolt in the other end.

It would be simple to undo should a future need arise and only cost you a bolt and a piece of scrap metal.
Just throwing out an idea. You would have to actually check to see if it is a viable option.

I wouldn’t be afraid to cut it and weld it back where I needed it and as far as the brake pedal goes I would move it too if I needed. If you have the skills to cut and weld it you could always add a pice back in if you don’t like it.

All done but have to have it powder coated.

First Picture - The stock brake pedal.
Second Picture - How I cut it and added a piece of 1/4" steel

I will post a picture installed after I have it powder coated.
It came off the P5 very easy by pulling a couple cotter pins and springs.
The overall stock length was 9 1/2", I made mine a little shorter 9".

Honestly looks like they are far more even now. Should be better to pivot from the go pedal to the stop pedal without lifting the heel off the floor. I like it!
I agree , unless it's just the way the pic was taken. @Glazer are both peddles even now ?............I may have to do this mod. My biggest complaint on the p500 , is the lack of left leg room!

I'm waiting for the weather to warm up a little so I can get my break in miles done and do my oil change. I only have 17 miles on it but I knew I didn't like the location of the break pedal.
