Talon Cage wall thickness?

Anyone know yet the wall thickness on these cages? I was looking at an X at my local dealer. The metal gusset at the top of the a-pillar seemed a bit thicker than a soda can. I found a weep hole on the underside of the top tube where the b-pillar meets and shined my light up in there. Seems awful thin. I know that with larger diameter, you can use thinner material and get the same strength(moment of inertia). Just wondering if anyone can chime in.

In theory you could use thinner material.

In real life the thin wall is easy to dent. The dent reduces your strength exponentially.

Believe Pioneers are .066 give or take

I didn’t write down the measurements but it the pioneer 1000 uses three different wall thicknesses in the cage. And all of them are thin. Possibly the same way with the Talon



I chopped 4.5” out and sleeved them with the longest piece I could fit in all 6 pillars....

Did you use a 1.5" OD DOM tube for sleeving the pillars?

Anyone look into beefing up the attachment points where the cage meets the frame?
