I have 2019 P1K3 with 29.5 on 15" wheels using 4+3 offset, I have no issues with shifting.

Welcome from NE Michigan

I'm going to offer an opinion to answer your question.

Based on Remington's and Lady01's statements above, the apparent large number of Honda SxS buggies on this site with oversized tires, and the very small number of owners reporting clutch failures, I believe that if if the owner understand that frequently power-stalling your Honda f or more than brief periods is hard on the DCT clutches and you avoid it, you probably won't have clutch failures.

"once great state of Michigan"

You guys let us down.

and I have been running 32" on 15" wheels for a month now and I haven't had any issues.. even climbing my little 100ton dirt mountain in my back yard or pulling a trailer.

How many guys run 30” tires without having clutch issues? I have a 2019 1000 Deluxe and I’m thinking of upsizing to 30” mud tires. Thanks for your help.
I just put the super ate arms on and today Can Am 14” rims with 30” big horn tires. Runs good, no clearance issues. However the rear tires a little close to the rear cage support, so I’ll have to see if they rub.

I put 29" terrabites on factory deluxe rims. They're great tires but the shifting changed a lot. lt always wants to upshift to a lower rpm that that l'm not comfortable with. A tuner will be bought soon. Thank goodness for the paddle shifters!

Does it seem like you are way down on power or is it simply a shift point problem? I too am looking at going to 30s but don't want to kill my power.

Larger diameter wheels and tires effectively change drivetrain gearing. It's roughly equivalent to changing differential gearing from 4.0:1 to approximately 3.25:1. This change reduces the torque multiplication provided by the gearing selected by Honda engineers.

This change increases the stress on clutches and forces the relatively small twin cylinder 1000cc engine to work harder.

The larger diameter wheels and tires also require more torque to start them rolling and make stopping harder on the factory brake system.

Larger wheels and tires may look macho but cause a lot of loss for the look.

28" by 10" by 14" wheels and tires fill the wheel wells better than stock with very little loss of power. I haven't even noticed the loss in my Honda.

I love the tires on my 2016 1000-3. I haven’t been off road yet to see how they do but I definitely love the way they look. They are 30x8.50x14 Black Mambas on “M112” (?) 14” rims. Very aggressive looking tire. My pioneer seems to have plenty of power with them but I’m down here in Southeast Louisiana where there’s no hills. Just flat ground, gravel roads, muddy pipelines & swamps! I just purchased the pioneer on 12/29/21. So far I’m 100% happy with everything.
