Welcome to the forum! Is it the original battery? And do you mean that the engine cranks sluggish or that it just takes a while for it to fire. Because when I had my 700 in the mountains and snow, it would crank several times when it was cold. But it would fire right off once it was warmed up no mater the temperature.

At start up, mine cranks for about five seconds and then starts. Test the battery if it seems weak.

I believe it is original battery and takes awhile before it fires up

I don't know your miles, but if it were me. I would get a new air cleaner, change out the spark plug, check the valves. Oil and filter change. That way you know all that is good to go. But mine will sometimes crank 8 times before it starts when it's cold out.

pretty much all atvs and utvs after mid 2000s have a lean tune for emissions and fuel efficiency. that will make them start hard in the cold, unless you do some sort of ejk. i did that on my can am for heat, lean tunes cause excess heat too, bigger jets in the prairie too also made them way easier to start in the winter

Its common and I thing worsened by a tired stock battery. Mine cranks more than I'd like when cold starting but its just the nature of the beast. I put a car size battery in it just so I would know it has sufficient cold cranking amps especially after sitting in the shed at below freezing temps for a few weeks before I need it.
