P1000 Could someone please tell me what a code is??

My husband has been wrecking his brain over our p1k problem. It’s throwing code 16 (1 long blink, 6 short blinks) have talked to the mechanic at 2 different Honda places. Went again this morning once he figured out the code & was told they had a code book in the back. When they came back up said the “Honda” mechanic wasn’t in so they couldn’t look up the code. And help would be greatly appreciated.

Code 16 is -

Code 16-1:
Shift selenoid valve 2 malfunction
- Loose or poor contact of the solenoid valve connector
- Shift selenoid valve 2 or its circuit malfunction

15 and 16 are both shift solinode issues.

So I was pulling a trailer and my Honda started running funny and threw code 15 & 16. Drove it back home checked for loose wiring/grounds and couldn’t find a thing. Also looked for rubbed wires. Took it to a dealership and had them hook it up to a computer. Told me it was a solenoid and a clutch...

I have no clue what it is or maybe is, but, I will say check your grounds, seems like everything electrical that I have go wrong leads back to a grounding issue.
