That’s like Groundhog Day, that’d be f***ed.
But like Groundhog Day I’d fix all the f***ed up s*** I did as a Centaur Mime in plaid shorts on Sunday’s after 4 in the morning with eggs...

First work on the truck. Brought it in for simple valve adjustment. While in I had fuel pin, governor spring changed, timing, boost and fuel all adjusted. Bumped rev limit 700rpm. $100 in parts. Only a slight puff of smoke on take off like it’s supposed to be. Couldn’t get on it with wet pavement, it scoots!
Me headed home with a big grin.

Yes rotary pump. Unbelievably simple, I could’ve done it all but it’s cold and a friend owns a Cummins shop so just let him do it. Took a couple hours.
I really actually prefer VE pump, never plug em in and they start and run great well below freezing.
It’s 250 less then my p-pump 98 is adjusted to but runs plenty hard. Especially with the manual. Won’t add any more power.

New edition to the household. One more 12valve, have 4 now lol. This one will be the 4wd part of the build. It’s a 1990 4x4 Cummins with 245k. Dana 60/80 posi with 4.10’s.
This build is continuing however slowly as I can only afford what I can and when. The front end of this truck including engine will be used in the build only.
She’s in my driveway. Moving forward!

I love the look of a first gen, every time I see one for sale that looks decent I dont have the cash. When I have cash they want 7k+ for an "all original survivor", aka beat to snot.

Bout time you explained why you were dragging a trailer, I don’t think you had enough tongue weight, and your straps are all wrong
Well funny (not really) story about that. The suspension on the trailer wasn’t up to the task. Trailer also wasn’t level so we had to borrow a drop hitch from the old fellow. Moved truck as far forward as possible and put the transmission, transfer case and all components in the bed to level the trailer. It was rubbing the back tires on fender flares.
we also had to put a rock on the rear tires and drive a few inches to push up fenders. Worked great. Also dropped air pressure way down to help keep from rubbing.
Even then it rubbed a few times, truck towed like trailer wasn’t there even with the tongue weight. Was a long ass drive home, checking tires, it shredded one.

Little information on the truck. It was a good runner beat to f*** from Alaska. Had KDP issue and the engine was fully rebuilt, so that’s why I’ll be using that one.
He bought the truck strictly to use the 5-speed our of it, so I got it with auto and transfer in the bed. If someone needs running gear I now have a solid 6bt with 250k from my truck, a 5-speed man 2wd and auto with transfer case for sale or trade.

Guy owned 3 other 12valves all 5-speeds now, one for general work, one for plowing, and one that is his baby and no s*** it is! Super nice and clean truck he bought two years ago for 26k.

Good or bad I’ll report it lol. This truck had the dowel pin under timing cover fall into the timing gear. It’s very rare (I haven’t personally met anyone or worried about it too much, only done half my engines) but this truck failed. Engine work was done in 2018 to fix the problem and while they were there they did a few things extra including upgraded valve springs which will allow me direct bolt on of an exhaust brake. This will be the power plant. It’s not intercooled but will either run my ‘93 or more likely upgrade. Engine runs smooth and no leaks whatsoever. One hell of a receipt, excited to have it in the upcoming truck.
