any ideas why w dip stick tube would have crud in the tube for dipstick. Not a pioneer mule 4000. Not blowing smoke

When you say "crud" do you mean a white milky substance? This would be caused from condensation!

if you mean brownish crap hot oil does that on anything that's valve covers or dip stick, white white would probably also be water from bad gasket like intake

I would be draining that oil and have a better look at it

seen a few machines that had that but smoked too from k&n crap letting mud through the engine sand blasting it not real sure if not something like that or intake boot cracked and it just hasent started smoking yet. if its sand has to be getting in somewhere
