I mounted up the spare tire carrier today. Went with the Tusk. Went for a ride today and noticed the weight a little in the rear suspension. Actually softened up the chop but also had my tool/ recovery bag in and an ice chest that adds about 40lbs or so. Also noticed more front end dive with the 32”s. I’m going to play worh the preload and see if I can sort it out. Really wish the shocks were fully adjustable. 3 clicks isn’t cutting it.

Ahhhha.. I went back for an update and she sure doesn’t look like that anymore... some new upgrades on the way

L&W Fab high clearance A arms
L&W Fab full radius arm kit
Dynojet power vision with Hess tunes and launch control
32” Carnivores
Shock Therapy springs

Im having the arms and rods powder coated by a local guy claiming Honda red. We’ll see. I’ll post some pics in a couple weeks when everything is done.

What skid plate would you recommend? I’m leaning toward the Pro Armor.

You're really gonna like the L&W Fab stuff, it's high quality and heavy duty.

I went with Trail Armor full skids and opted for their trailing arm guards.

I just happen to have a picture!

Thanks man, that’s a great pic. They make a trimmed one too for nerf bars. That’s a nice looking Talon you have. It adds up fast.

I’d like to hear your feedback on the Hess PV3 tune once you get some time with it. Tuning the transmission to specific tire size really interests me.

RE: your skid plate question: I’ve been very pleased with the Factory UTV 3/8” UHMW. I did not get the x-brace and it’s held up exceptionally well to Windrock, Royal Blue, and other parks in the South with very rocky trails.

Where did you get the steering wheel?
Just saw this, sorry for not getting back to you sooner. It is a knock off Momo on eBay for 50. It has a blurred out logo and looks like the real thing. As for durability it has beet wet and pressure washed several times without problem.
I did need to make the holes one size bigger to fit the larger Allen bolts on the Hess quick release adapter.

I’ve been through the settings and cannot find where I can tune for tire size. I noted my tire size in the order so maybe it was set up that way? Other than then novelty of launch control it doesn’t feel much different as we all know the Talon on 32”s isn’t winning many drag races. I also now have the AT and MT lights on the display all the time. Can’t figure out how to get that to go away and need to reach out for tech support.

This weekend we got my L&W
Fab High clearance A arms and rear radius rod on. They turned out awesome and give so much clearance on the underside of the buggy. L&W makes some bad ass products. Best I’ve seen for the Talon and fit perfectly. I did need to have them powder-coated myself but I think the results were worth it.

Also added 32” Carnivores and Shock Therapy springs. The ST springs made a big difference. Still not entirely satisfied. Might send them off this winter for valving.

Your rig is looking awesome! Good job!
Doing the valving will be the game changer for you. Love my ride quality since getting it all done!
