factory you can get away with a 7’ height door opening which is 6” extra added to the trailer, if you start adding tires and lift you’ll need to measure the machine and add height accordingly.

An 8-8.5’ wide is going to be best unless you’re a spry youngster and can climb out the back of the machine.

I have a deposit on one at the moment myself.

I've got a 24' enclosed. The door opening is 78" with dovetail i run a 2.5" lift and 30" tires but chopped the cage 5". I rub just a touch. I think technically my trailer is 6'6" in height. You will want a 7' ceiling height.

Word of advice; if you have friends the ride get a 20’ so you can y’all two! Not to mention all the others it would be handy for, you have to store it somewhere either way so might as well go bigger

With the Hard Roof it adds a few inches, mine is factory ride height plus 2" for the difference in tire height and I have to have a 79" door opening

I have a 7x14 aluminum stealth enclosed double axel. Inside wall is 81” wide. Ceiling is very similar.

I’m pretty big guy and can get in and out of the Honda pioneer 1000 fairly easy, but the Pioneer must be all the way to one side of the trailer. If you go a bit wider it won’t hurt.

I’m in the process of adapting it for ice fishing as well.

Axels are remaining fixed. I have sleeves thru the floor.

insulated the roof, added power port, cable tv antenna access ( gotta watch football!) and tv for underwater camera and a heater. Very much the same to make it a living space for camping.

I used frp to hold up the foam insulation...wished I would have used something else as it wants to grow when it warms up. May end up changing it.

led lights for illumination. All electric on a deep cycle bat with a 500w inverter.

not quite done but here are some pics.

actually it’s a Jubilee. It’s a project I’m working on with my nephews. It was stuck in two gears. The tranny is now unstuck but there’s a problem in the pumpkin that is next area of attack. Engine runs. Will fix rear soon and paint in spring for parades and acreage work.

The question you need to ask yourself is.. do you plan on keeping stock or not?

mine is an 8.5x24.. my door opening is 83.5 inches with the dovetail and 84” interior height. It’s an Intech brand.

So @JTW, how do you end up doing everything on your side?

(or is that only when you're not upside down?)

  1. Talon X
We have a Haulmark Transport 7x16 x 84 high. The rear door opening is 80". Works great for our Talon. I just step out onto the front tire and off the front. Pretty simple even for an old fat guy. I did a race trailer style interior build with cabinets, counter etc... I wired for 120v lights and plugs. We've been really happy with it.
