I have 2016 pioneer 1000 with 40 hrs on unit. My wife and I accidentally sunk the unit in water. I have repaired the engine but having trouble getting crank and camshaft back in time. Can anybody help me?

Are you asking for ignition timing? Or for the timing chain installation?

Have you followed each step exactly? Including aligning index mark with FE, double checking correct cam sprocket position?

@snuffnwhisky any ideas?

@Leea706 Please upload some pictures of your setup, and where you are having issues. Use a pen, or knife to point out what we think we need to look at.
Why do you think your engine is still out of time?

Under the seat is a big plug on the case that you need to pull out. Inside is the crankshaft nut to turn the motor with. I believe beside that is another plug u pull out for an inspection hole to get you on top dead center. Once the crank is aligned, align the cam gear.

Here's a pic of the plug to access the crank nut. Pretty sure the inspection bolt is right there beside the {1} on the top left of the round cover.

Do a compression test and the oil pan is pretty easy to pull off in the rig. Almost everyone I saw swamped bent a rod. Ebay has used motor parts most of the time.

Well thanks for all the help she is really done now! It slung a rod through the block when I started it again. I will now be looking for a upper block along with engine rebuild kit. Any suggestions where to get those parts will be very appreciated.

Damn. Sorry to hear this.
I've see a few totaled ones pass threw some auctions. Might be worth hunting down one.
Wish you luck.
