P500 Experimental switch box

Hey everyone .. I got this 2018 P5 in December and have been doing little things here and there to it. I have conjured up a little temporary switch box to house my fuse block and all wiring/switches for accessory lights. Thought I would share and maybe have some of the more experienced fabricators/electricians chime in with their 2 cents.

Excited to get my 27 zillas shipped any day now and mount them up.

Are each of those switches using relays or powering lights and devices? If no relays, you're going to want to use a larger gauge wire for the connection between the fuse block and your power source. You may want to use a larger wire anyway. All of the power for your devices will be coming through that one red wire.

Currently I am not running any relays. I was planning on jumping the 14 gauge power supply wire up to a 10 in the near future when I find a more permanent mounting box and I thought that would be sufficient for my application . I’m not electrically educated so to speak so any help is appreciated.

10 gauge will be good for about 20 amps and should be sufficient.

Relays are cheap, easy to include and take all the weight off those switches.

If you look closely at the box I have a very small flush mount led. Covered with red tape for a red hue. I do most of my riding at night

I’m looking into it as we speak I agree with taking the load off all the switches.
