Thanks for the suggestions! Ended up driving through silverton and camping off dirt road after Howardsville. Rofrom there to lake city over engineer pass and cinnamon pass.

Going to ride to ouray today and then to Yankee boy and back to Howardsville/ silverton if all goes to plan.

We're gonna need lotsa pics (pretty please). 😍

@TimG I never see 3 bars on temp gauge when riding. Even up steep slow stuff. Always 2 bars. I have seen 3 bars when starting after shutting off but ones bato 2 after 1min.

Park on a slope so front end is higher than rear and let idle with rad cap off?

FYI - I did flush coolant system 2 years ago and drove on car ramps to get air out. Bought it was good.

But hey I’ll try anything!

It's a real nice area to ride at. I bumped into a lady I went to school with here in southern IN. a couple days ago and she said they just got back from Silverton.
