Fire extinguisher and mount

I went with one of these. Had to add a bit of foam to make up for the narrow roll bars, but it works great.

I went with the same style, it mounts solid and is rattle free. Somebody suggested in another thread to use locktite on the knob as it could vibrate off.

This one that i bought. The extinguisher is expensive but with never having an expiration date and not having to worry about getting wet it seems perfect for a side x side.. may get a few more for my cars.

I used a mount I found on Amazon for about $25.00. I also found some rubber for the stainless hose clamps from Piranha Scuba Co. The rubber does good to separate the stainless hose clamps from the extinguisher and also from the factory roll bar.

My neighbor who does a lot of logging in the woods recommends carrying TWO fire extinguishers. I guess he has been burned! Ha Ha. Bad pun.

I’ve got a good friend that gave it to me as a gift. I was very appreciative of it. I do ride in crop fields around my house when the farmers cut the crops before they plant again. There have been several machines of all brands catch on fire when the cut trimmings from soy beans and corn husks get caught up in the hot areas.
