@163bc hasn't been around long enough, to know the stock skid plate is a joke of of a skid plate from Honda. And think it might really worked and have some worth. May be cut them into small pieces and drill a bunch of holes in it and make a fly swatter, is the best use I can come up with so far?

I wouldn't be afraid of the aluminum at that price at all. My LE has them and I have no reason or weakness to make me replace them. Last summer I came over a huge boulder unexpectedly and god I'm glad I had something.

Yes, but your better off getting a full UHMW skid or even a hybrid one.
