I’ve finally got approval from the wife to get a Pioneer for the family. Sold my 05 Honda Rincon that I’ve owned for the past 12 years and got myself a 17 Honda Pioneer 1000-5 Deluxe.

I’ve been looking for weeks and noticed the high used market pricing. So I decided to call around to get my name on a list for a new Deluxe. I put a refundable deposit down on one locally and bam, a used 17 Pioneer 1000-5 Deluxe popped up within 5 hours of me. It’s a gem with only 26 hours and 260 miles. Original owner used it as a glorified “take the trash to the road” machine and traded it in for a few toys for their kids. The dealer added the roof and a KFI 5000lbs winch for $600, out the door it was $17,200.

Plan to to run her like this for this year and start planning out some upgrades for the near future.

For that year, make sure the clutch upgrade was done.

P1000 - How to tell if Clutch update was done '17

I just purchased a new '17 1000 LE. The dealer said the clutch update was done. Based on past experience with this dealer I would feel better if I could confirm it in a way other than taking their word for it. Is there a way to confirm whether this machine has had it done or not?

No just a Product Update Campaign that has expired. Honda will no longer pay for it anymore.
