Common use for this material:

FrogzSkin is Hydrophobic material that repels water yet allows air to pass.
Some common uses are on pre-filters such as Outerwears brand pre-filters.
The Frogzskin brand caters more to snowmobiles where they cover their air vents to prevent snow/water/debris from entering.

For our sport, Frogzskin in raw form allows you to custom make your own filter. I have used it on my under the hood pipe to help prevent water entry. Others use it on their snorkel scoop. It can be used where ever you wish.

Though it repels water, it is NOT 100% waterproof. Water can still pass through under the right conditions.

Were just waiting for a more detailed explanation.

I use "LizardSkin" bar tape on my road bicycles so the explanation was necessary for me at least.
Probably not for all of the savy guys around here.

I have this on my snorkelo and it works well, sure can some water get in yeah but its real hard to get it through that tiny screen.

Ran across the tube of this today cleaning the shop. If anyone needs I still have some.
It will work to keep water out. All but pressure washing.
Great as a snorkel prefilter.
