Nice idea, welcome to the forum....Front hook for tow point and tie down installed with 2x2 3/16 angle bolted to guard supports. Beveled 2x3 1/4 angle bolted to first angle to mount the hook. Front hook bolt prevents hook fron pivoting to the sides.

At least that’s not an expensive one. When you think your done with all the useful mods.....another one pops up! Great idea looks like I'm going to open up the wallet again!!!!
The Force is with you....Great idea, I might be forced to buy yet another accessory...
Thanks! I'll consider it.Nice job and if you paint it "red" it would look like a tongue, LOL

Gregra44 got me thinking and I decided to use the KFI winching mounting bracket to mount a couple of brackets I welded up using 3/16" and 3/8" steel. Using a small shackle in the bracket for the anchoring point. Will take the shackles off before riding and put them in the tool box. Thanks Gregra44 for the ideal.View attachment 119519 View attachment 119520 View attachment 119521
Nice. I thought about using brackets like these with square U bolts but I don't have a welder. The manufactured brackets, for bolting to loader buckets for anchoring chains, were way too expensive. Angle iron, and grandpa's old heavy duty Delta drill press, are my friends.Make me a couple. They look great!

Great suggestion JCart and you are correct about using them for heavy winching. I just need a good anchor point to tie down the front of the P5 inside my enclosed trailer. I'm interested in seeing your ideal so I can make a set for myself. Thanks.Yup awesome looking, I’d ( no disrespect just a suggestion) mount them so the Shackle plate is horizontal though. Less twist on the Shackle if you are pulling really hard or have a snatch block attached. Also make great tie down points for transporting will be looking to do something similar as mines a KFI winch mount too. Thanks for sharing.
