I just picked up my new Pioneer 1000-5 deluxe a couple days ago. I'm hearing a clicking noise in the rear-end as is shifts. I've never ridden in a 1000 but just wanted to ask if that is normal that everyone is getting or do I need to get it checked out? Only have about 20 miles on it. Thank you,

What we call "Shift-Clicking" -- It is a precursor to clutch failure.

Just kidding. It is your shift solenoids which will quiet as time goes on.

When it shifts you can hear it change gears that is normal. You need to check all your oil sub_tran, engine, and diff.

It's normal, aggravating at first but you get used to it. Like everyone says it does get quieter after first service. The rig has to learn you just like you have to learn it. Drive it how you normally would and don't worry too much about the " break in" process.

One more thing the shifting clicks are not consistent some will sound louder than others

Welcome @ohiohunter ! It definitely gets better after the 100 mile service. I've put mine through all the modes and different types of terrain. As @sharp said, it takes some getting used to. You learn it and it learns you. Happy trails!

Yep, me too. Instantly happy it's still under warranty:). Mine still feels like someone is kicking the fram on shifts, but dealer says it'll get smoother.

The gear whine in these things is pretty loud at speed.
