Today I woke up and it was 40 degrees and only warmed up to about 60 here in Michigan the days are getting shorter and the nights are getting colder
So today I went down to my local Honda dealer and ordered doors the fabric rear window for my p500
I do a lot of trail riding where I need to trailer my sxs in order to get there and I heard that you shouldn't open trailer with certain accessories ( doors and windows) so I also purchased the towable cover that Honda recommends
I'm hoping that this will take care of the towing issue cause next week hunting season begins and I will be using my p500 alot to get to my blind
Just wondering if anyone has the pioneer cover and how they like it
I'll post pics once I get my parts installed

I'm planning to close my P500 in soon and will need to transport my unit on occasion as well. I do like the idea of a cover and will begin exploring that angle.....

It looks like a good cover but I haven't laid my hands on it yet

As shown to be towable, does the supplier give mph approved, assuming installed correctly? My gut tells me this is approved for approved speeds on roads, i.e., up to 70 mph and would be anxious to hear from anyone with experiences at that speed with a cab and/or use of such a cover...….

A guy at work has one for his 700 and he takes his on the highway but he's older I don't think he's in a hurry to get any where
Plus its not the same cover

I would wonder what the cover would do to the plastic windows over time. Seems like the constant wiggling would dull them.

Like others, I do not want to be the one blazing trails/information on what not to do with a full enclosure on my P500 riding on a trailer at 70 mph. I'm a little surprised not to see more information on this topic or may be some guys tried it, turned out horrible and their better half took the toys away including the computer, LOL...

I have the doors, tusk rear window and the towable cover. I have towed at 75mph with no issue except for scratching up my windshield. I have buffed out the scratches and will be putting a micro fiber towel on it next time. One issue with the towable cover is that will not fit well with any sort of bed on it. I have mounted my bed with quick connect clamps so i can take it off to install towable cover.

It's good to know that I should be able to tow my p500 with all my accessories at high way speeds with little to no problems I also have quick connect clamps on my box and on my cargo tray so I'll have to put them in the back of my truck and put them on when I get there
I'll just have to figure out a way to keep the windshield scratch free

I'm thinking of a U-Haul blanket over the windshield using bungie cords under the towable cover....

It seems like for the amount of money they want they would line it with something in the windshield area

If anything rubs on a plastic windshield going down the road it will scratch the @#$%#$% out of it. I ruined my full windshield that way (not hard coated though I can't believe the hard coat would survive over time either). Now before I put the tarp on I cover the windshield with the plastic film they sell at Menards for temporary floor/carpet protection. I peels off easily.

I looked at getting a towable cover a while back. Ended up bailing on it because it would've had to be just the rack and no type of bed on the machine. Looked at some universal type as well and after reading reviews came to the conclusion that there is no such thing as a towable cover. Same thing with snowmobiles, even the factory ones that came with it end up getting torn and tattered and they're a perfect fit.

If your running a OEM Honda windshield with the quick clamps why not just remove the windshield before installing the towable cover and hitting the road? Take a minute to remove using the quick clamps...just a thought

It's not that quick. Bottom clamps are mechanical fasteners.

Ohh ok I didn’t know that. I assumed it had four quick clamps at the corners. I know the lower is on the sliders that allows it to tip open but thought even those fastened to the roll bar with the clamps. Hmm maybe I should get the three piece hard coated windshield instead then
