Greetings from Paradise! (Kodiak, Alaska)

Greetings all!! I found a beyond kick ass deal
on a ‘17, Pioneer 1000-5 w/ full skid plates, winch and “151 miles” on it!
She also came with a 7x14 side/ rear load Big Bubba’s single axle trailer..
My wife and I are permanent transplants (as of a couple of years ago) to Kodiak, Alaska from the ‘burbs of Savannah, Ga.

I’ll be pickin’ brains for advise on this UTV.!

Here is a little info about me to begin with!
Honda SxS ownership : Yes
I have owned, or currently own the following: UTV
My off-road experience level is: Skilled
My favorite place to ride is: “Trail Blazer”; anywhere the boss’ll let me go!

Howdy from Oklahoma. Will the P1000 out run the bears?

Ha.!! Nope, not in our terrain here on the Island.. I go with the old adage "Loud Pipes save lives.!"; 'Haven't found what I consider a nice exhaust yet though.. Suggestions?

Hmf. They have two versions. We got the quiet and really like it. It’s not much louder then stock unless really on it, but very throaty. Don’t know personally on the loud version but suspect it’s substantial.
Side note: if you take exhaust completely off in the rear there won’t be a bear around in 10 miles!
